Your region, band and bill-payer selections remain in page memory. They are not submitted to a server or saved in cookies or local storage. Reloading the page clears them. Sharing the checker shares a link, without your answers.

The indicative band helper also operates in the browser. We do not ask you to enter a real address, postcode, Council Tax account number or identity document.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

This version of the website does not load advertising, analytics trackers, third-party fonts or marketing cookies.

There is no mailing list or account registration. The service hosting the website may process routine technical information, such as an IP address and requested page, to serve content and protect the service. This is distinct from the answers entered in the checker.

Official band lookups, council services and source links take you to external websites with their own privacy policies. If you use your device’s share feature, your device and the service you choose handle that action.

We do not control the information collected by another website. Review its policy before entering personal information.
